Project Lead Ecosystem & Partnering

Stefan is our ecosystem expert. His intention is to build a lighthouse deep-tech ecosystem, bringing start-ups, corporates, investors and other players to the table and connecting them with each other.

Stefan speaks the language of corporates and start-ups, having walked the line between the two cultures, constantly trying to get the best out of both. He started his career at E.ON in Düsseldorf and later joined Deutsche Post DHL in Bonn, where he was among other things scouting and mentoring startups that were addressing and solving the corporates´ internal issues and problems. Prior to joining chemstars, Stefan spent 2 years with Initiativkreis Ruhr in Essen, one of the largest economic alliances in Germany. Together with the startup-team at Initiativkreis, he was responsible for and coordinating the projects Gründerallianz Ruhr and Data Hub Ruhr.

Born and raised in the Ruhr Area, Stefan now lives in Düsseldorf where he enjoys spending time with his family by the Rhine or drinking an after-work Alt-Beer in Düsseldorfs old-town.
